ALL WINTER GAME INFO HERE

A few weeks have passed since our last concert in Frankfurt and many new jammers have registered with us since then. After the “Concert for Freedom” in Berlin, some musicians found their way to us – thanks to the Promotion Task Force 😉

Welcome to THE GRAND JAM

In total, we now have around 3,000 jammers in the database. That’s quite impressive when you consider that “we” haven’t been around for that long.

For the new jammers (and also jammers who have perhaps never been actively involved in a concert): The website contains a lot of important information about participating in a THE GRAND JAM concert. Basic information can be found in the LOGISTICS and JAMMER FAQ sections. Current NEWS can be found in the NEWSTICKER (in the groups section) and on the BAND-NEWS page.

Before a new concert, there is the HANDBOOK with all the important information specifically about the next concert. Current and quick news can be found in the Whatsapp and Signal groups. The news from the Whatsapp groups is also shown in the NEWSTICKER.

A lot of things have happened since Frankfurt but of course the preparations for the 2025 concerts have already started again and you can look forward to a special year in 2025. We already had a studio session in Vienna – the next one will follow next week and at the beginning of December there will be a studio session in Frankfurt. Lots of new songs – you will have a lot of fun.

In addition to the two concerts in May and July 2025, there will be a “special” in January 2025, as we will be appearing as part of the entertainment program for the DEL WINTER GAME (ice-hockey-game). We are also currently working on other exciting topics for 2025 – in addition to Germany, we are also working on THE GRAND JAM abroad – here too you can be excited to see what surprises we have in store.

Now we hope we have made you curious enough and at the same time you can see that we are trying to satisfy the large number of registered jammers in the database with more concerts.

WINTER GAME

During the ice hockey game we will be accommodated in a grandstand in the stadium – but there will not be room for 1000 musicians. We should assume around 200 spots available.

We want to divide it up like this:

100 vocals (regardless female or male)
30 guitars
15 bass
10 drums – the sets will be provided by us – but must be set up and dismantled by the drummers!
5 keyboards
30 brass / sax
10 strings

SONGS 2025

The first references to fixed songs for Frankfurt and Dresden can already be found on the section SONGS of the website. The tutorials are also back for the songs that we are “recycling” from the 2023 program (Start me up and Let it be).

In general, the tutorials currently contain all the songs from 2024 and it will stay that way because we want to give you the chance to rehearse songs that are not currently part of the concert, but may be part of it again at some point.

For those who don’t know, the concert in Frankfurt will be held under the motto “100 years of the Waldstadion” and we will play songs specifically by bands and acts that have played concerts there throughout the history of the Waldstadion. Therefore, a few new songs will be added to these 5 songs to fulfill the motto of the evening.

REGISTRATION

Participating in a THE GRAND JAM concert consists of two steps:

1) Enrollment in the “Jammers database” – you’ve already completed this step

2) Register (REGISTRATION) to participate in a specific THE GRAND JAM event

REGISTRATION for new THE GRAND JAM concerts starts appr. 2 months before the event. You will receive a newsletter about it. There is a separate ticket for each instrument. There are also COMPANION and REHEARSAL registrations. One is the registration for accompanying jammers under 16 (1 companion / jammer under 16 – valid for rehearsals and the concert) and the REHEARSALS registration is for i.e. partners, children, etc. – who will accompany you on Thursday and Friday.

IMPORTANT: NO SHOWS will no longer be accepted. Anyone who registers and doesn’t come to the concert will be booked with a YELLOW CARD and will not be able to register for new events.

We now have almost 3000 jammers in the database – the time will come when we have WAITING LISTS. Make sure you check the NEWSTICKER from time to time or join the OFFICIAL NEWS groups on Whatsapp. Link in your welcome mail.
